SINGLE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT
Park/Olive Street Homes – Extended redevelopment along the 4900 block of Park and Olive Streets compliments the newly constructed Olive Street Homes. This redevelopment will include six energy efficient single family renovations for homeownership. Construction began in Fall 2009 and will continue through 2010. Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) – In response to the recent foreclosure crisis, the federal government is providing Kansas City with $7.3 million to purchase and rehab vacant, foreclosed homes and sell to eligible home buyers. COMMERCIAL/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Blue Hills Community Services Center – The redevelopment of 5008 Prospect incorporates a concentration of community services to centralize information and assistance for residents and contractors. The community space will serve the needs of the surrounding neighborhoods by providing:
• Community meeting space
• Community office space for service based organizations
• A neighborhood contractor business incubator
• Home repair, weatherization, and single-family development center
